HICKORY, N.C. (October 16, 2025) — Oh Hey, Hickory is celebrating a big win! Visit Hickory | Hickory Metro Convention Center has been named a 2025 Readers’ Choice Award winner, recognizing it as one of the top meeting and event destinations in the South.
Out of thousands of convention and visitors bureaus (CVBs) and venues across the region, only 502 organizations earned this distinction—and Hickory is one of just 33 winners in North Carolina.
The annual Readers’ Choice Awards, hosted by ConventionSouth magazine, honor the best of the best in the meetings and events industry. Winners are selected based on votes from meeting planners and industry professionals who recognize destinations that go above and beyond for their guests.
