Where are you located?
The Hickory Metro Convention Center is located in Hickory, just off Interstate 40 between Exits 125 and 126. View our map here.

What are your office hours?
Our administrative offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding most major holidays. 

Can we bring in outside catering?
To ensure consistent quality and service, all food and beverage must be provided by our exclusive caterer, Liazzo’s Catering.

Can we bring in our own A/V?
Yes! We welcome outside A/V providers at no additional charge. We also offer a full range of in-house A/V services and equipment for your convenience.

Are you connected to a hotel?
While the Convention Center is not directly connected to a hotel, we share a parking lot with two hotel properties and are within one block of six hotels, making accommodations easily accessible for attendees.

Is the Convention Center pet-friendly?
Pets are not permitted inside the facility unless they are certified service animals or part of an approved pet-related event, such as a dog show.

Are firearms allowed on site?
Firearms are not permitted on the premises—loaded or unloaded—except during approved firearm-related events (such as gun shows). In those cases, only unloaded firearms are allowed.

Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor smoking areas. Smoking inside the facility is prohibited.

  • Accessible Parking: Available for guests with proper state-issued credentials
  • Drop-Off Access: Front entrance available for mobility drop-off and pick-up
  • Accessible Restrooms: Located throughout the building, including family restrooms
  • Emergency Support: AED on-site; staff and security are trained to assist in first aid or emergency situations
