Get your lederhosen ready and clear your calendar—Hickory’s Oktoberfest is the kind of celebration you’ll want to raise a stein to. Every October, downtown transforms into a lively, beer-sipping, brat-grilling, music-filled party that blends authentic German tradition with a rich Hickory heritage.
Co-founded by German-born Adolphus “Dolph” Shuford, Hickory’s Oktoberfest pays tribute to its roots while showcasing the best of the local scene. Expect multiple stages featuring everything from polka to rock, beer tents pouring by the pint, and food vendors serving up classic German favorites like bratwurst and soft pretzels meet local flavors for a delicious twist on tradition.
Wander through artisan booths filled with handcrafted goods, unique finds, and souvenirs you’ll actually want to take home. Bringing the whole crew? Kidsfest offers face painting, inflatables, live entertainment, and games to keep the little ones entertained and having a blast.
It’s a weekend packed with great food, live music, and festive fun—Hickory style.
